“SHARPS” are medical items used in health care, which have sharp points or cutting edges capable to cause injury to, or to pierce human skin, when handled.
For example, items made of:
- METAL – With cutting edges or sharp points ie. ie. single use hypodermic needles, scalpel blades, staples, lances etc.
- GLASS – Chipped, cracked or broken
- PLASTIC – With torn or serrated edges

- Waste Collectors
