Cyto Guard 125mm

The ‘Cyto Guard’ is a safety device, incorporating a needle remover notch.

The 125mm Cyto Guard is coupled with a Locking Ring (colour white). To fit the Cyto Guard to the lid of the cytotoxic container (purple), firstly unscrew the Locking Ring from the Cyto Guard. Next, insert the Cyto Guard into the 125mm circular opening in the lid of the cytotoxic container. Lastly, screw the Locking Ring onto the thread of the Cyto Guard. The Cyto Guard is now securely attached to the lid of the cytotoxic container. The lid can now be click-fitted to the base of the cytotoxic container; making the cytotoxic container ready to use.

The Cyto Guard opening is 90mm in diameter. This wider opening makes easy the disposal of cytotoxic waste items. The 125mm Cyto Guard fits these cytotoxic containers: RE4LCT (4.75 litre square), RE4LCTR (4.75 litre round), RE10LCT (12.5 litre square) & RE20LCT (23 litre round). The Cyto Guard / Final Closure system was designed by the IDC development team in conjunction with health care professionals.

When the cytotoxic container is full or ready for disposal, press the 125mm Final Closure into the top of the Cyto Guard to permanently seal / lock the cytotoxic container. Please note that the Final Closure (colour red) click fits into the ‘innermost’ edge of the Cyto Guard, not into the separating groove.
